Notes and slides from the first 2026 edition of the Lima design community meetup.
We had around 40 people, three talks, and too much coffee. Topics ranged from design tokens in production to a live walkthrough of building a component in Figma’s new variables system.
The conversation after the talks was the best part, people comparing how their teams handle versioning, whether anyone actually uses semantic tokens in practice, and whether the notion of a “design system team” still makes sense at small companies.
